It was our first trip to a restaurant since the shutdown, so needless to say we were very excited, and we weren't disappointed! To start, we had babaganoush with lavash, the dip properly smoky, the lavash crisp and lightly seasoned. )...Faubourg joins the recent small influx of upscale bars in Montclair, which is welcomed after limited options for a long time. "Second time at Uncle Momo and I can honestly say there is nothing bad you can order. No, but it was a real treat for a special occasion, and we'll be back to venture into the restaurant when it's safe to do so.This was our first time dining at Fauborg and most certainly won't be the last.
Very nice ambiance specially the outdoor patio, and the food is soo nice. We sat outside for 2 minutes and then asked to move inside.
Seated then at a lovely table right in the center where it was cool, comfortable and breezy. Faubourg offers a pre fixe menu that includes two courses and one drink (juice, bloody mary, or mimosa). The vibe and service was fine, but I would have expected more for the price point.
The asparagus and romaine salad was also excellent, a generous portion with a small container of what tasted like Caesar dressing.
What a great addition to the Montclair scene! They need to add cushions. The manager is super lovely and greeted every table with ease and love. Wait staff was attentive and helpful.Last night was our first--but certainly not last--visit to Faubourg. They put small glass partitions every two seats but they are on the bar and not between patrons and not good! We ordered two cosmos which was ok, not very sweet not very tasty. 12-9pm lunch and dinner menu only. Bring out that fancy dress for date night.Faubourg is hands down the most beautiful restaurant in Montclair... and it's got classically good French-inspired New American dishes. Prices were steep but your paying for location and comfort of setting. When dining out in Montclair, I know I'll be paying for food and quality that's WORTH the money...or at least thats what I expect. Do they want their shoulders massaged while eating? The outdoor seating is plentiful and beautiful. Good place to get a quick bite of the tart and have a cocktail.Great night out!!! And will be back for dinner- this place is swanky! I can't wait for warm weather so we can linger in the beautiful outdoor space that features white bench seating and water features filled with river rocks. We moved inside and at 5 :15 when the restaurant waS still empty they sat us upstairs. Loved this place!

No space was left out or underplayed. It was just odd. The team did a great job on the outside garden as well so check that part out on your visit. The manager is everything.We loved our dinner at Faubourg it was the perfect choice for a romantic dinner. Staff and management very friendly and attentive.
