Location itself is beautiful perched above the raging Kern River and most of the folks staying overnight tend to be friendly; however the day trippers and a few folks blasting bad trance music on Monday night made our stay less than perfect. We had our own trail to the river, but the hot springs themselves are quite small (seating for less than 20 comfortably) and folks seem to be oblivious to the covid19 pandemic so social distancing isn't really an option unfortunately.
This area provides hot springs that flow at 115 degrees along a shaded stretch of the river. the community for maintenance and development of the Campendium website. If loud death metal and chugging bud light platinum is not your jam, I'd recommend going down before 8am on a weekday and you should have the pools to yourself.
