First, it projects quite a distance above the 170mm head tube, longer than the available carbon forks, which yields a distinctly head up riding position which is easy on my neck and back. It comes with a carbon or steel fork, and requires long reach 57mm caliper brakes. My most dominant impression so far is that it is extremely comfortable for something so aggressive and speedy.
Basic geometry is right in the sweet spot. The geometry yields a comfortable and fast ride. It is a better choice for recreational riders who have no plans on racing. The frame geometry is a good starting point for a bike focused on comfort or speed. Needs rear fender brackets (by bottom bracket). I'm 6'5" tall. This bike is actually a natural for cantilever brakes.Great ride, better quality tubing than Surly Pacer. Pink. Smooth, stable, comfortable, and fast too. I've done multiple centuries and one double-century and survived. The bosses are there but they are placed much too low so that a side pull brakes completely blocks the left rack boss. The price is very reasonable.
I used it daily for around 20 months in tropical Hawaii with no rust issues. One morning on the way to work, the frame snapped at the drive side rear dropout. Bought one of these recently and wasn't massively impressed. $61 off retail $489.99 your price $428.93. S-Works CX was my commuter for the last couple 'o years.Reasonably light and agile, very stable. I really like the relaxed geometry and longer wheelbase. I was always concerned with paying $1400 for a frame and then taking it out in bad conditions (rain, dirt, mud, etc.).
