Clearly Wooden had life largely sorted, better than almost anyone ever in public life. There are references to basketball, but the vast majority is not. He says surprisingly little about the actual game of basketball--what he loved about it beyond getting men ready to play it--but that's okay in a book of observations. Over the past few weeks I have been reading the book “Wooden - A Lifetime of Observations and Reflections On and Off the Court” by John Wooden. His other works are mainly focused on basketball, thus for professional basketball players. All the stuff in here is just basic common sense stuff. He talked about how no matter what you do you always need to put your best effort into it. He takes what anybody could be struggling with and shares how he handled it and what he learned from it from his personal experience. After reading this book my view of my life became clear and I am a lot less stressed and worried about my daily life.
