I can't believe I hadn't seen this movie before but I'm very glad that I did! I understand the difficulty in transferring a classic book to film — it's impossible to capture all the small details, and some of the larger ones for that matter, and there are bound to be some omissions and modifications to the plot.

What makes this movie special is the thrilling excitement which Kathy Bates and James Caan manage to convey in tense scenes with only dialogue at their disposal. She was looking after me and thought I should see it. The acting from the two leads is fantastic and they both help to get us sucked into every celebrity's worst nightmare.
