A lot of care (and thought) clearly went into this project.Story was very bland; beautiful illustration thoughIt’s missing the fate of Sandy Fishnets. There is one large panel on every two page spread, and the story is told more in pictures than in words. I read the first volume & felt like the author was just being a jerk to her characters for no value except to be liked for referencing "weirdness." Like Lemony Snicket and Tim Burton, but pushing it darker and more f'd up. Monique is not exactly on top of the world.
