I bought the whole series of books, and the characters are great, the books are entertaining, but I like more investigation, science, clues, etc., and less chasing, being chased, shooting, fighting and getting klunked in the head. If you pay attention and work at it a bit you should be able to figure out who did it and why. The woman no longer remembers the violence she suffered in the past, but the memory will return when the serial killer shows up to continue to torment her psychically and not only carnally. It's just not believable. This is a real page turner right from the get go. Not bad, but the characters she encounters are a little forced.No messing about in Beverly Connor's books on page 5 we have a skeleton by page 20 we have 2 more murder victims. Well written.
